When Monik was 10 years old, her Uncle Jack came to visit her and her family from out of town. He was a quirky and boisterous man, with an infectious laugh and an unbridled passion for art. He was a caricature artist and cartoonist, and he loved nothing more than to make people smile with his witty illustrations.

On the day of his arrival, Uncle Jack surprised Monik with a stack of colorful storybooks and a journal with a beautiful cover that depicted a magical forest full of fairies and unicorns. Monik's eyes lit up with excitement as she eagerly flipped through the pages of the books and the journal.

Uncle Jack saw the wonder in her eyes and knew that he had to share his love for drawing with her. He took out his sketchbook and pencils and began to teach her how to draw her pet dog and the rabbits that hopped around in the garden.

Monik was fascinated by the idea of drawing and was amazed at how easy Uncle Jack made it seem. She began to sketch everything she saw around her, from the flowers in the garden to the birds in the sky. Her journal soon became filled with her colorful illustrations and stories.

Uncle Jack became her mentor and teacher, and every summer when he came to visit, he would bring her new art supplies and teach her new techniques. Monik's passion for drawing grew with each passing year, and her love for storytelling blossomed alongside it.
